Up North Getaway Policies
Cancellation Policy:
• Any cancellations received within 48 hours of bookings will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations 60+ days prior will have a $500 fee. Cancellations 45+ days prior will result in a fee that is 50% of total costs. If a cancellation is 45 days or less prior to the arrival date, no refund will be issued. If management terminates the rental agreement due to violations of the rental agreement no refunds will be issued and the tenant will be asked to leave the property immediately.

Cleanliness
• Guests are required to complete the following cleaning before their departure. Failure to do so will result in cleaning fees charged at a rate of $60 per hour.
• Pull all sheets off of the used beds and set them by the door. Any unused beds can remain as they are
• Start a load of bedding (sheets) in each of the washing machines. Laundry detergent and other cleaning items will be provided
• Leave all dirty towels in the bathtubs/shower
• Wash all dirty dishes and start dishwashers before departing
• Remove all garbage from bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, and the deck/patio
• Take all garbage out to the provided dumpsters
• Clean out all three refrigerators.
• Turn off all lights and fans
• Lock doors when your stay is complete
**** Guests should not leave the listing in a state that requires excessive or deep cleaning (ex: with moldy dishes, soiled carpets, etc.) Excessive or deep cleaning will be charged at a rate of $100 per hour. ****
Litter
• Guests should put their trash in designated trash receptacles and be mindful of excessive amounts of trash.
Damage
• When guests cause damage that is beyond normal wear and tear, we expect guests to inform host of the damage as soon as possible and work with the host to find a reasonable solution. Guests are expected to pay reasonable requests for reimbursement if they’re responsible for damage, missing items, or unexpected cleaning costs. Please talk to host about Damage Insurance options.
Only approved guests are permitted on the property
• Guests should respect the approved number of guests and should ask their Host if they're unsure about the rules for visitors. Disruptive gatherings are always prohibited.
• No pets are allowed
Check-in/Check-Out
• Please respect the check-in window that is provided on the reservation. Arriving early to a unit will result in denied access to the property unless previously discussed with your host.
• Guests should complete checkout indicated on the reservation. Do not leave belongings at the property after the checkout time for storage or later pickup without prior approval from the host.
Smoking
• Guests are not allowed to smoke on the property at any time. This includes the use of tobacco, cannabis,
e-cigarettes, etc.
Chairs and Furniture must stay in their designated area and only for their intended use.
Noise Complaints:
• If the host receives any noise complaints from the neighbors or complaints about disrespectful behavior, the guest will be charged a $500 fee. This is non-negotiable.
• Up North Getaway will not issue refunds for weather, acts of god, or other causes that are out of Up North Getaway’s control. It is highly recommended that the renter gets travel insurance for these kinds of instances.
Glitter and Confetti are not allowed on the property. An additional cleaning fee will be applied if these items are found due to their difficult nature to clean.
Lake Access:
• Guests can enjoy the sitting area located above the boat house but are not permitted to enter the boat house.
• Guests may not access or use any boats that are permanently stored at this property. Guests are encouraged to bring their own watercraft. Boats can be tied to the dock and smaller
non-motorized items can be placed on the dock and/or on shore.
• If any items are lost in the swim area (fishing hooks, bottles/cans, ect.) they must be retrieved to ensure safety for all.
• Up North Getaway is not responsible for any injuries or casualties that occur near or on the water. Water and lake access comes with its own dangers that guests should be aware of. If you would like more information on water safety, please reach out to your host.
Parking
• Guests may park in designated parking areas around the property
• Guests may not park in the driveway leading up the the property or on the neighbor’s property
If issues occur, please contact your host. Host will respond within 24 hours to resolve an issue.
